Only utilising elite, tier 1 equipment, we pride ourselves on designing and installing unique solar systems that work for the exact building, roof, business and routine of our clients. Not limited to installation, our team work as advisors and experts that can assist business owners in their quest for greater sustainability.
Our Founder
In 2023, we were founded by James Edwards. A fully accredited member of the NICIEC and City & Guilds. James has spent over 12 years building experience of electrical engineering across the globe. Yorkshire born and bred, James spent his 20’s in Australia and New Zealand working as an electrician.
Since 2018, James has been managing his own electrician firm JDE Electrical Services Limited.
In his spare time James likes to see the world, and experience new things. Most recently James trekked the fjords of Norway, but on a normal week you’ll find James at the golf club trying to improve his handicap!

Meet the Team
Graham White, Managing Director
Graham’s been in the construction business for what feels like a lifetime, he’s one of the most experienced members of the team.
Managing not just Your Solar Energy but Your Choice Fire & Security, Graham is fantastic asset to the senior team, Graham has an ability to understand customers and connect with the market incredibly well.
Admittedly a bit of a closed book, in his spare time he loves a project. He’s currently building a home office out of a garden shed. Fun fact about Graham, he loves to go metal detectoring with his kids.
Sam Twitchett, Head of Marketing
After achieving a first class honours in Advertising & Brand Management at the Manchester Metropolitan University, Sam went on to work at marketing agencies working with some of the biggest consumer brands in FMCG, and later and later marketing and later in-house for the world of property.
At home on the mountains with skis on his feet, between university and the start of his career, Sam tried his feet at a ski season before it was cut short due to injury.
Tom Batty, Head of Sales
Tom is a sales veteran, knowing how to connect with customers and help them realise their needs for all things solar. Tom has been in sales since 2008. Although he studied clinical science at university, being a people person- sales is where Tom belongs.
Tom moved into management three years ago, and has since grown a lovely sales team that put customer service above all else.
Outside of work, Tom is another keen sports lover. Tom played rugby union for over 22 years. Having hung his boots up last year, he still loves to get involved in his local club when he can.
Phill Savage, Solar Surveyor
Phill has worked in commercial sales for over 20 years, moving into the renewal energy sector five years ago, with experience in both the technical and commercial aspects of the industry. Working with both domestic and commercial clients, Phill prides himself on his professional relationship with customers, providing support and technical advice for a variety of renewable energy solutions. Phill enjoys supporting customers navigating the complexity of solar options and exploring the variety of solutions available.
When not measuring buildings or talking KW hours, Phill enjoys spending time with his family traveling in USA or Europe, cooking and supporting his local ice hockey team.
Breeanne, Finance Assistant
Breeanne is one of our youngest that has worked up from the start. She has three years of experience working in a fast-paced finance environment, all while passing all her exams first time and gaining her AAT qualification. She is ready to take on any challenge that is thrown her way.
Fun fact about Breeanne is that she used to be a professional dancer and has performed on the main stage at one of the biggest dance festivals in the world!
Josh, Solar Technician
One of our solar installation technicians, Josh is a talented engineer who always puts the customer first and knows how to provide excellent customer service. We’re always getting amazing feedback from customers about how friendly Josh was. A real gem of an engineer.
A four-year apprentice trained electrician. The outdoorsy type, with a passion for golf in his spare time, he loves to get out on the green when he gets two minutes away from his two young kids.
Jordan, Solar Technician
The real face of the company, Jordan is one of our frontline engineers that will be available to help at anytime during your installation.
Another four-year trained apprentice trained electrician, Jordan’s game is football when he’s not on rooftops installing solar panels for Your Solar Energy.
